User architecture in the eCRF tool is organized as followed:
Role>>>>> Profile>>>>>>User
The « Role management » option allows the user to create, modify or delete the specific user roles involved in the study (depending on user access rights).
User roles are managed from the “Geographical area management” option in the Builder. To access to Builder, the user clicks on the « Admin » icon as indicated below.

Then the user selects the Role management option clicking as seen below.

In order to create a new user role, the user clicks as indicated below in point 1.
The user roles already created are indicated in blue. In black are indicated the number of existing profiles with each specific role (see point 2 below).

For role creation, The user has to fill the following information for role creation:
- ID and name of the new role to create (it will be automatically associated to a specific translational code as for all labels in the eCRF tool).
- The organisation in the role list filling the « Put under the role » item

For user role deletion, the user should have the specific access rights to do it. A role can be deleted only if there is neither profile related to this role nor any user belonging to these profiles.
