How to log in/log out?

First connection

After being registered to the SMART platform by an Admin as a new user, you will be sent an invitation by email.

Depending on the webmail, your might need to check in the spams to find the invitation.

In this email, you will find:

  • a Login – which is the Username,
  • a temporary Password (6 digits and letters),
  • and a website link to access the SMART platform,

By clicking on the website link, a new window will open in your web browser.

In this window, you will be asked to enter the Login and temporary Password given in the email you received.

Once you’ve entered your login details, you can click on the ‘Login’ button located at the bottom.

A screen will appear asking you to change your temporary password.

It is important that your new password contains at least 8 characters with at least 3 different character types between the following ones:

  • English Upper case letters (A B C D …)
  • English lower case letters (a b c d …)
  • Westernized Arabic letters (1 2 3 4 …)
  • Non alphanumeric , . < > ; : ? ! @ # * $ % & + ( ) =

Once you have submitted your new password, a pop up message will appear on your screen and an email will be sent to you to confirm that your password has been updated.

After you have changed your password, you will be automatically directed to the Menu of the SMART platform and be able to start using the program.

Next connection(s)

After being logged in for the first time, the user will be able to easily access the SMART platform by clicking on the website link given in the invitation email and entering his/her login details (Username and new password).

When typing in the password, it is important to respect lowercase and uppercase letters.

Log out

For security reasons, it is important that you log out from the platform when you stop using it. The log out button is located at the top left hand corner of the screen.

After a time being inactive on the platform, your session will expire and you will automatically be logged out.

Click on the button ‘Click here to keep your session open’ to maintain your account active. You will then be asked to re-enter your password.

I forgot my password – How can I find it

If you have forgotten your password, the platform can automatically generate a new password and send it by email.

Follow the steps below to receive your login details:

1. Access the log in page of the platform and click on the button ‘Lost your password?’.

2. A new field will appear below asking to enter your email address. This email address must be the one used to register onto the SMART platform. Once the email address entered, click on the button ‘Send e-mail’.

3. A message will appear to confirm that an email has been sent with your new login details. Check your mailbox to find this email.

4. Go back to the login page of the platform and enter your login details.

NB: If several eCRF profiles are linked to the same email address, then an automatic password will be generated and sent for each profile.

How to change my password

You can change your password whenever you want.

Follow the steps below to set up a new password:

  1. Once you get connected to the eCRF tool, click in the « home icon » (upper right hand corner as seen below)
  2. Then click in « Change your password » button.

3. Type your previous password and then the new one and then submit your request.

4. An email will be automatically sent by the platform to confirm the password modification.

NB: The platform can automatically request a password change if an expiration period has been defined for the password.
